[ABOUT mag technology]
MAG Technology is placing data at the heart of our strategy as we look to transform our airports into airports of the future. In a connected world, data matters more than ever; whether it be understanding how our airports are operating so we can fine tune performance, evolving our understanding of customer behaviour so we can better serve them, or using next generation IoT driven tech to improve our asset and infrastructure health and productivity. If we can transform the way our organisation thinks about, gathers, interprets and understands data, then we can transform the way we manage and drive the airport Group forward.
MAG Technology houses almost 200 colleagues across three airports in the UK where each individual is encouraged to collaborate and innovate on how we use technology and data to empower our business. Earlier in 2022, we launched our Data Literacy Programme which now sees 100 colleagues from outside our Technology team, taking part in a 1-3 year course to improve their understanding and use of data in their day to day roles – and in doing so, creating a strong and unified community of data users across the Group who we can empower and collaborate with.
With an eco-system that includes 4000 MAG colleagues and up to 30,000 connected colleagues working across our airports when you include our airline, ground handling and retail partners, getting a single source of the truth is difficult, but powerful – especially when it comes to creating world class passenger experiences.
It makes complete sense that we therefore sponsor the Data Track at TechFest, encouraging great debate, presentations and conversations on the power of data in organisations of the future.
We look forward to seeing you there!
