ABOUT
MANCHESTER TECH FESTIVAL

OUR GOALS

Manchester Tech Festival is a women-owned, LGBTQA+ led indie tech festival completely funded by the community.

Founded as a response to the digital inequality caused by the pandemic – MTF is more than just a festival. We pride ourselves on being a core part of the community working year-round to strengthen the Manchester Tech Ecosystem.

  1. Empower the Community. Boosting knowledge sharing, creating new business opportunities and cultivating connections
  2. Address the Digital Skills Gap. Inspiring and empowering more people to pursue a career in tech
  3. Increase Diversity and Inclusion. Enhancing employment opportunities and improving staff retention rates
  4. Combat Digital Inclusion. Empowering companies to contribute to the community to remove the barriers to entry that exist across Manchester.

What We Do

To achieve our goals, we work year round on a calendar of activity designed to support the Manchester Tech Community. Our activities include:

OVER 50 SOCIALS

Free to the community, our socials provide a series of safe spaces for people to network and socialise within the tech industry.

OUR D&I PROGRAMME

Designed to remove barriers to entry our DSI programme consists of Hardware Donations, Foodbank donations and mentoring

SPECIALISED CONFRENCES

From Women in Tech [Unfiltered] to our core festival and track days, we tailor conferences and festivals to what matters most to the community.

MEET THE TEAM

When we say MTF is made by the community for the community – we really mean it!

Our organising board and our team of ambassadors include  experts working within the Manchester tech scene. From D&I experts to software engineers and founders, our diverse team allows us to constantly respond to the needs of the community.
